கரம்பொன் Cemetery இல் புனரமைப்பு வேலைகள் நடைபெற்றுக்கொண்டிருக்கின்றன.அதைப்பற்றிய சில விடயங்களை உங்களுடன் பகிர்ந்து கொள்ள விரும்புகிறோம்.முதலில் மண் நிரப்பும் வேலைகள் நடந்து முடிந்தது. அந்த மண் நிரப்பலுக்கு சுமார் 750 Tractor Loads மண் தேவைப்பட்டது. குறுக்கு கடல் பிரதேசத்தில் அரசாங்க அனுமதியுடன் இலவசமாக மண் அள்ளப்பட்டபோதிலும் அதை அள்ளுவதற்கும் பின்னர் பரப்புவதற்குமான  செலவு மட்டும் அண்ணளவாக 9 இலச்சம் ரூபாய்கள் (lakhs) முடிந்துள்ளது. இங்கு Canada இல் இதுவரை கிடைத்த பங்களிப்பு             CAD $ $7100 ( அண்ணளவாக LKR 20 இலச்சம்)  (2 Million Rupees)  . இன்னும் பல வேலைகள் தொடர்ந்து நடைபெற உள்ளன. மொத்த வேலைகளும் செய்து முடிப்பதற்கு  குறைந்த பட்சம்  40 இலட்சம் ரூபாய்கள் (4 million rupees) (Approximately CAD $14,000) வரை தேவைப்படலாம் என எதிர்பார்க்கப்படுகிறது. இந்த புனரமைப்பை நிறைவாக செய்து முடிப்பதற்கு  உங்கள் அனைவரினதும் பங்களிப்பு மிகவும் இன்றிமையாதது. இந்த புனரமைப்புக்கு மெலிஞ்சுமுனை பங்கு மக்களும் தங்கள் ஆலய நிர்வாக சபை ஊடக பங்களிப்பு அளிப்பதாக பங்குத்தந்தை தெரிவித்துள்ளார். மேலும் Australia விலும் அங்குள்ள கரம்பொன் பங்கு மக்கள்  இந்த புனரமைப்புக்கு நிதி சேகரிப்பதாக அறிகின்றோம்.  இந்த புனரமைப்பு வேலைகளுக்கு மேலும் நிதி உதவி தேவைப்படுகிறது. இந்த சேமக்காலையை  புனரமைக்க பலர் விரும்பியதன் நோக்கம் நம்மைவிட்டு பிரிந்த நம் உறவுகளின் கல்லறைகளையும் அந்த இடத்தையும் அழியாமல் அழகாக வைத்திருக்க வேண்டும் என்பதற்காக மட்டுமே. கரம்பொன்னில் அடக்கம் செய்யப்பட்டுள்ள எங்கள் பிரிந்த உறவினர்களை கௌரவிக்க இது ஒரு வழி என்று நாங்கள் உறுதியாக நம்புகிறோம்.

Dear Friends and Families,
Reconstruction work is underway in the Karampon cemetery and we would like to share some information about this with you. First of all, the backfilling has been completed. Approximately 750 Tractor Earth loads were needed for this ground filling. Although the soil was excavated free of charge with the permission of the government in the  Kurukku Kadal zone, the cost of excavation and propagation alone was about nine (9) lakhs. Contribution to date in Canada is CAD $7,100 (approximately 20 lakhs (2 Million of LKR). Still a great deal of work remains to be done. The project is expected to cost a minimum of 40 lakhs (4 million) rupees  (approximately $14,000). Your contribution is key to the achievement of this reconstruction. Parish priest of Karampon indicated that the residents of the parish of Melinjumunai will also contribute to the reconstruction of the cemetery via their parish council. We are also pleased that the Karampon Community in Australia is also raising funds for this reconstruction project.However, additional funds are still required for the reconstruction work to be completed. The reason many people want to restore this monument is to preserve the tombs of our deceased siblings, parents, grandparents, great grandparents and relatives and keep the place as nice as possible. We believe strongly, this is a way to honor our departed relatives who have been laid to rest in karampon. Finally, please help us as best you can in the reconstruction of this Karampon cemetery.
