It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gitendran Saverimuttu, who departed from this world on April 16, 2024. 

Born on March 25, 1939, in Karampon, Sri Lanka,

Gitendran was the beloved son of the late Robert and Josephine Saverimuttu.

 

Gitendran is survived by his loving wife, Jeeva Saverimuttu .

 

He is the cherished brother of the late Jeyabalan Saverimuttu and late Rohini Veerasingham.

 

Gitendran was predeceased by his late brother-in-law, Anton Veerasingham,

 

and will be fondly remembered by his brothers-in-law Manoharan Thuraisingam and Jeyaharan Thuraisngham.

 

He was also predeceased by his late sister-in-law, Rani Thuraisingham,

 

and will be dearly missed by his sisters-in-law, Indirani Vijayanathan and Sothirani Vijayapalan.

Visitation at Chapel Ridge on Friday, April 19th, from 5 - 9 PM. 

A funeral mass will be held at St. Thomas the Apostle Roman Catholic Church at 14 Highgate Dr, Markham, ON L3R 3R6 on Saturday April 20th, at 9:45 AM, followed by burial at Christ the King Catholic Cemetery at 7770 Steels Avenue East, Markham, ON L6B 1A8.
