It is with great sadness we announce that our mother, Philomena Poomany Francis was called to rest on Thursday 8th June 2023.

​

Poomany was born in Karampon in 1932 to her loving parents Marypillai and Bastiampillai Soosaipillai, the third of four children.

​

She was the devoted wife of the late Francis, daughter in law of the late Annapillai and late Soosaipillai and  the cherished mother of Infanta, Angela, Anita and Pansy.

​

Beloved mother in law of Andrew & Sampson.

Doting grandmother of Andrika & Gerard Kailainathan, Antonio & Stella Ignatius, Cheryl & Zain Mesquita and Daniella William and great grandmother of Kaiden and Mathilde.

​

Much loved sister of the late Anne Grace, late Rose Celestine and Marianayagam and loving sister in law of late Abraham, late Ratnasingam, Margaret, late Vethanayagam, late Alfreda, late Anthonypillai and late Sabina.

​

May her soul rest in the Lord's embrace.

A Funeral Service to celebrate her life will be held at the Most Precious Blood and St. Edmund's Church, 115 Hertford Road, Edmonton, N9 7EN on 26th of June 2023 at 12 noon.
